COVID-19: Lifestyle Tips to Stay Healthy During the Pandemic
At first, try positively to remove your stress and anxiety in this difficult situation and have
full faith that one day coronavirus will come to its end. This pandemic has taught everyone to
change his life style and to take special care of cleanliness, food habits, daily routine etc. It is like a
warning of nature to all human beings. The nature is saying, ‘Take care of Me otherwise I can
destroy whole of the world in no time.”
Introduction:
According to the ‘World Health Organization’, ‘COVID-19’ is a pathogenic virus which began at the
beginning of December 2019 near Wuhan City of China and at very rapid speed, today it has
reached more than 150 nations and has caused WHO to call the disease ‘a worldwide pandemic.’
By the time of 2nd week of April 2020, this COVID-19 cases exceeded to 18,73,858, and more
than 1,16, 045 deaths were recorded worldwide. United States of America became the global
epicenter.
The very first case of coronavirus was identified in Washington on 21 January, 2020 by an
individual who flew to Wuhan city and returned to the United States.
From that day, the cases went on increasing. Beginning with the first lockdown in China’s
Hubei province in January 2020 and nationwide in Italy in March, lockdowns continued to be
implemented in many countries throughout 2020 and 2021.
The Prime Minister of India, Shree Narendra Modi, announced 22 March as ‘Janta Curfew’
and requested the entire 1.3 billion population of India to stay at home on 22 March, 2020 and
again on the evening of 24 March, 2020, he ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days so that
spreading coronavirus may be controlled.
During lockdown period, all shops, educational institutions and business organizations were
shut down. Train service and bus service were completely banned by the order of the
government.
Thousands of poor workmen living in different big cities became unemployed and they became so
much afraid that they left for their villages 200 km far, 400 km far, 900 km far on foot to see their
families without having sufficient money, but Alas! many of them could not reach their home. They
died on the way by lack of food and water.
How does it spread?
It spreads from person to person through close contact with someone who has the infection.
When the people with COVID-19 (positive) breathe out or cough, they expel tiny droplets that
contain the virus. These droplets can enter the mouth or nose of someone who is standing or sitting
nearby.
Droplets containing the virus can also land on nearby surfaces or objects. Other people can
pick up the virus by touching these surfaces or objects. A person may also be infected if he touches
his nose, eyes, or mouth. In this way, it goes on spreading from person to person and place to place.
Signs and symptoms of COVID-19 positive
- cough
- sore throat
- headache
- muscle pain
- chills, sometimes with shaking
- loss of taste or smell
- loss of appetite
- chest pain
- ever dry cough
- tiredness
- conjunctivitis
- difficulty in breathing or shortness of breath
- no energy to speak or walk
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- fever
These symptoms are likely to occur from two to fourteen days after exposure to the virus.
All the above symptoms may not be found in all infected persons but 80% of the above
symptoms will surely be found.
Lifestyle of the people before the pandemic
Lifestyle of the people before the pandemic was very defective. Their eating habits were never
good. ‘All types of animals and insects,’ were the main food of the people in many countries. They
didn’t like to eat rice, pulse, bread, green vegetable, fruit, milk, ghee, butter etc. Thinking
themselves to be very modern and smart and taking the bottles of varieties of dear drugs and wine
in their hands, both ladies and gents walked on the road and openly drank everyday.
Ladies and gents- both became shameless and they supported and enjoyed open sex
drinking on the road. Ladies went out of their home almost naked. They looked smarter and more
active in all fields than gents- no fear, no shame. Their behavior was never like a human being. They
always behaved like an animal.
Before pandemic, there was too much crowd everywhere- crowd in the market, crowd in the
bus, crowd in the train, crowd on railway stations and crowd everywhere.
All types of people came to very close and started eating in the same dish. No social distancing.
They never bothered to wash their hands before taking breakfast or dinner.
90% of the people never took care of cleanliness. In many of the foreign countries,
maximum people were not in the habit of washing their hands with soap after coming from toilet.
Now tell me, why the virus like corona will not spread?

Summary:
Poulomi Das Bhattacharya
Summary: Parents and teachers are most responsible for depression and anxiety. Its main
symptom is that people don’t feel good most of the time and its main cause is our unbalanced life
style and negative thoughts.
By connecting with yoga, pranayams, Kapalbhati etc. and listening pravachans to great saints
and philosophers, our depression and anxiety can be removed.
Introduction: Depression and anxiety is a kind of mental weakness which comes through
ignorance of something. It is a mood disorder that involves a persistent feeling of sadness and loss
of interest.
When our life is unbalanced and our mind is 90% full of negative thoughts and we don’t
have faith on God, then in that situation, depression and anxiety attack on us. But it does not come
all of a sudden. It comes day by day and little by little.
That’s why, in school days our teachers used to say that we must have positive attitude in
life.Negative approach gradually turns into depression and anxiety.
So, our parents and teachers must take special care of their children. If negative attitudes
grow in their mind, they will remain sick throughout their life.
Children are the future of the country and they have to take charge of all posts in a few
coming years and for depressed persons, even the easiest work seems to be the most difficult. So,
what can a depressed person do for the welfare of the country?
He can do nothing. If you think you are depressed‚ talk with a mental health professional or
a great saint immediately. In such cases, ‘Words of Great Saints’ are the best medicines.
Signs & Symptoms:
Following are the symptoms of depressed mind:
- Sad or anxious all the time
- No interest in fun activities
- Having trouble falling asleep or staying asleep
- Waking up too early or sleeping till late hours.
- Eating more or less than usual or having no appetite
- Experiencing aches, pains, headaches or stomach problems that do not improve with taking
medicines.
- Having trouble in concentrating, remembering details or making decisions
- Difficulty in relaxing and focusing on thoughts.
- To live either in past or in future.
- Feeling tired‚ even after sleeping well
- Feeling guilty, worthless, or helpless
- Getting angry, frustrated, restless and agitated most of the time
- Loss of sexual desire
- Sleeping too much or too little
- Fatigue or loss of energy
- Avoiding families and social situations
- Working without a break
- Lack of confidence
All these symptoms are for male, female and youngsters.
Causes: Depression and anxiety may be caused by a combination of genetic, biological,
environmental, and psychological factors. Following are some of its main causes:
- Unbalanced life style
- Becoming highly ambitious
- No yoga and exercises
- Ignorance
- No faith on God
- Very busy life
- To earn more and more money
- No interest in art, music or literature
- Far from religion
- Unbalanced diet
- Negative approach
- No good relationship with most of the people in
- family, relatives and society
- Lack of politeness
- Jealousy
- Ego
- Irritating nature
- No good time management
- Using alcohol or drugs
So, all the above factors make our mind weak and inactive. And remember one thing, a healthy
mind resides in a healthy body and a healthy body resides in a healthy mind. So, I mean to say, we
must take care of our body and mind both because they are interlinked with each other.
Treatment:
Never think that the mental disease like depression and anxiety is incurable. Within 15 days, it can
be cured 50 % and by the end of the month, it can be cured 100%.
But we shall have to involve our mind in different activities including yoga and exercises.
Pranayams and Kapalbhati will be very beneficial as Swami Ramdev often says.
Time management is very beneficial for eradicating negative thoughts. ‘Good work in good
time’– this is the best remedy.
Gandhi ji said, “If there are two sides of each and everything, each and every situation, each
and every people – dark side and bright side, then, why people look at the dark side most of the
time? Why not at bright side?”
Discover happiness and draw positive ideas from all unfavorable situations. Everybody is the
combination of good and evil. Even Mahatma Gandhi was not perfect. Then, why do you expect
from general people?
In ‘Shreemad Bhagwat Geeta’ there is a formula of life skill given by Lord Shree Krishna to
Arjuna. All of us must remember. He says, “ Don’t repent for the past and don’t be worry about
future. Whatever it happened, that was good. Whatever it is happening, that is good. Whatever it
will happen, that will also be very good. Surrender yourself to Almighty. He will guide you, protect
you and help you every time and everyday. Have full faith on Him.”
Besides, after consulting any good doctor or Vaidya, the patients must take the following hurbal
supplements to make their mind strong, healthy and active.
Writer’s message:
The writer is urging all readers to take special care of their physical as well as mental health.
If mental health is damaged, it will be recovered with great difficulty. All teachers and parents
are advised to inculcate positive thoughts in the mind of the children.
Make a habit of doing yoga and exercises daily.
Litening Pravachan to great saints like Prem Bhushan ji Maharaj, Sudhanshu ji Maharaj,
Asang Dev ji, Rajeshwaranand ji, Shree Krishna Chandra Shashtri ji, etc. can be proved to be the
best medicines for depressed and anxious persons.
Some humorous videos can also be fruitful for them.
Hope, the readers will draw something good from this article and right from just now,
they will start living a positive life.
Think good, speak good and do good to all and imagine that you are the happiest person in this
world.
To the end, pray to Almighty God to keep you healthy and happy for ever along with all
members of your family.
Om, May All be Happy,
May All be Free from Illness.
May All See what is Auspicious
May no one Suffer.
Om Peace, Peace, Peace.
The writer of this article is requesting you to put
your ideas in the comment section and also like and
share it maximum to your friends.

Posted by: @rajeev1632Summary: Parents and teachers are most responsible for depression and anxiety. Its main
symptom is that people don’t feel good most of the time and its main cause is our unbalanced life
style and negative thoughts.
